On Saturday, June 7, Charushila organized an Everyday on Canalside Community Day to share ideas on the redesign of the Bryant Court Garden.

Throughout the sunny afternoon, residents, Metropolitan Housing staff, and local organizations came together to share ideas and stories while learning new skills. Local ceramic studio Turning Earth gave a pottery demonstration where we learned how to make pinch pots, ideal for growing herbs. St. Mary’s Secret Garden, from down the street, held a herb growing and information workshop.

And our Humans of Canalside Storybooth, led by local photographer Marcia Chandra, showed up after the Canalside Residents’ Association party to sneak in a few portraits and stories.

We presented some of the ideas for the Bryant Court green space that had been put forward in the community consultation to date, and local residents that joined us shared their aspirations for the garden.
