We are inviting residents of all ages to come join us in our Saturdays in January takeover of the Whitmore Community Centre.

Every morning, Simple Acts will be hosting a fun kids’ workshop to create and build dens out of a variety of artistic and foraged materials. The focus is on making imagination and ideas into reality!

And in the afternoons, join us to produce Humans of Canalside stories using photography, video, maps and interviews. Marcia Chandra, a Haggerston-based visual storyteller, will be working with you to learn new creative skills and produce work to contribute to a community exhibition, and the Humans of Canalside website.

You don’t need any media experience, just a hunger to learn more about your community or to share some of your own stories.

Where: Whitmore Community Centre, 2-4 Phillipp Street, London N1 5NU
